Denon’s 2010CI DBP and DBP-1610CI Blu-ray players are made with high-end components, but they are missing a lot of advantages cheaper players have. Both have the same features as every Blu-ray player from Samsung, LG, Sony or Panasonic has:
- An Ethernet port for BD-Live and Firmware Updates
- DivX and AVCHD playback
- Bitstream Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding in a separately sold receiver
You do not have Wi-Fi or streaming video application, such as Netflix or Amazon VOD. Both have “superior” stereo analog outputs, and Burr-Brown digital-to-analog converter for CD hear when you are in CDs and really expensive speakers.
In addition to step-up DBP-2010CI is also 7 1 analog audio outputs, but not sure if the 1610 does not (doubt). This is really only necessary if you have a nice surround sound system, but do not have the money to upgrade your receiver if you are on Blu-ray.
