With the new Netbook announcements slowing a bit, it’s now much easier as a new Netbook than a few months ago. With this release we are slowly starting to see more Netbook specialize in certain markets. ; The new HP Mini 5101 is a great example. The HP 5101 is the new Netbook for professionals who want to create a small, durable computer. To set the device permanently, the 5101 is made of anodized aluminum with a black brushed surface. The bottom and palm rest are ready for use with magnesium-alloy with a rubberized always had the feeling that it slides out of the hands, which can happen on the plastic of the other Netbook. The middle 95 percent Chiclete keyboard is spill resistant even with HP Durakeys order to show too much wear. The HP 5101 looks to be a fantastic Netbook. The design looks great, and the anodized aluminum so much more stable than the standard plastic Netbook. The keyboard is very easy to type for almost all because it is near-standard size. The 10.1″ screen is also available in HD to make it even more desirable. It comes with a multitude of options, including XP OS, SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 and FreeDOS, with hard drives up to 300 GB or 80 GB SSD. There is also an option for installing an EV-DO or HSPA broadband module, combined with wireless broadband if you are willing to pay $ 60 per month or so. Digital Foci’s Photo Book vs Netbook

Posted by admin on Feb 23, 2009 in News

RAW Photo Viewing Device Beaten by Netbooks

Exactly one year ago, Digital Foci Photo Book would be tempting. It is a combination memory card reader and displays, with – essential for any serious photographer – RAW support.

But when we look at the data we see that it is at every turn by a surpass Netbook. The 8 “display is smaller, the paltry 4GB of internal memory is obviously not enough – all my cameras have at least a 4 GB card in the interior. Worse still, the battery life you can not even beat a full Netbook. It only takes 2 , 5 hours.

In fact, only the benefits of portability and price. The photobook will hit stores in May this year. A Netbook is about twice as high, but can do so much more. And as Joel at Boing Boing Gadgets points out, RAW support is a constantly shifting target. This is the reason why Adobe and Apple are always updating their photo software only to continue with new cameras.

The economy is the harm to all in these days – and if it is no less true for the Miu companies are working feverishly to its all-in-one handheld, although some serious setbacks in the finance department. Ready to go into production at the drop of a hat, there are currently two versions of the device in development – the fundamental atomic-powered Netbook PMP e-book reader and a dual-boot Windows XP CE device with a GPS and a mobile phone. What can we say, the thing is still a fist full of ugly, but we hope that these kids crazy, and we wish them the best. We really do.
