It took a while, but eventually drive makers are always hip to the fact that we see how much space without the plug in. Over time left wants. Western Digital My Passport Elite and My Book Studio drives now feature labels on the outside that the display “always-on info. That is, even if it is not connected, you will receive a 12 character label, and a second line that indicates how much space is on the DVD. Both Gigabyte and a chart no less.
In other news, the WD Passport Elite line was trimmed down, more streamlined, and there is a small LED display shows you the hard drive on the left. And a dock.

There are many ways to protect your data. You can encrypt your hard drive, password protect your computer or on a biometric security measures. Or if you really realize you could be a highly visible padlock, advertises, in essence, that for anyone to steal your order will be pointless, since it is not about much they benefit anyway.
Brando, the new 3-digit combination lock for USB sticks, is pursuing the second approach. Basically, just slap the lock on a USB stick and spin the numbers, and it is much harder to access for all your data without the right combination to be able to.
The lock should be available mid-September.

On the one hand, I’m impressed with how Kingson Heck, the new DataTraveler 300 USB flash drive can store a whopping 256 GB data. On the other hand, it costs $ 900, which is pretty much useless … for now.
Of course, if it is one thing we have learned on flash media in recent years is that prices fall very rapidly. I still remember paying nearly $ 50 for my first 32 MB Compact Flash card.
Kingston new card features read speeds of up to 20 MB per second and data rates of up to 20MB per second. It measures 2.78 “x 0.88″ x 0.65 “. And Kingston has been kind enough to let us know that the flash drive can be the equivalent of 10 Blu-ray discs, 54 DVDs or 365 CDs. The 256 GB Kingston Data Traveler 300 is initially in Europe. No word if when he is in the U.S.. I hope there will be a bit cheaper at the time it does.

However, for the overly feminine types, it could be love at first sight. What is suitable, since they very much love themes Accommodations Webcam. It even has the word love at the very basis of IT.
The web camera is a little over a 3-in-1-gadget. The left side of the cam rotates and displays a series of LED lights. It also has a microphone installed. The lights would be ideal for students, if they ‘t turn on the overhead light through a dormitory roommate. It can be based either solely on your desk, or attach to your monitor. Although from the picture, it seems as if the cam at the end would obstruct your view when you’re on the monitor itself.

I keep going through all the dozens of reasons that this could be useful, but then I cancel it at the end for a reason or another. I thought it could be very to sit at the computer and then the torch would be useful if you ‘re playing with cords to the back of the computer. But I can not remember a time when I could not feel my way and ways to get the picture of things. I’m sure someone has a use for this flashlight meets USB hub, however.
If you are female, and for any reason to lead to a hub with you, then you always have a flashlight handy for different tasks. The hub conveniently folds into the hub itself when not in use. You can use it either as a flashlight, or it works as an open reading. The LED lamp is rechargeable, so it will not be plugged in to work. The hub has a total of 3 USB ports.
